Inessa + Samuel | Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia | Shangri-La Wedding Photographer

4 year ago back in my university days, I was shooting at a ball organised by the Multicultural Student’s Union when I received a tap on the shoulders by a man who asked “hey mate can you take a photo of us two?”.

Those two became the couple who became more than just the couple-who-wanted-photos on the night…and I never failed to capture a photo of them at every single university event and weddings from then on.

Since then they have been a very special couple whom have supported my work over the past 4 and a half years – it’s so good to see them finally married and to be their wedding photographer.

And the best part is that it became a destination wedding in Kota Kinabalu Shangri-La, Sabah – Malaysia.

Imagine a wedding where everyone knows every other. Family embraced friends, friends embraced other new friends and both family rekindled as if they were long lost ancestry. Those who didn’t caught up as if they knew each other for a long time ago. It was truly a sight to behold…. all this happened hundreds of kilometres from where the reason of why all first are here in the first place.

This was Samuel and Inessa’s wedding day.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts once again for letting us celebrate the biggest part of your lives. We couldn’t have asked for a more accomodating family by the Laus and Ngus.
